ITANAGAR, Dec 16: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has demanded for complete scraping of the National Pension System (NPS) and immediate restoration of the Old Pension System (OPS) for regular state government employees of North Eastern states. The state's government employees body said this at the the 13th North East States Government Employees’ & Teachers’ United Forum (NESGETUF) executive meeting held at Dimapur, Nagaland on December 12-13 last.
The meeting which was chaired by A Sreekumar, General Secretary All India State Government Employees’ Federation (AISGEF), was attended by four delegates representing CoSAAP comprising Gonya Riba, Marpak Kadu, Er. Kipa Nakup,  and Hibu Gambo. Representatives from all the North Eastern states took part in the Dimapur meeting.
The house resolved to pressurize the Central Government for immediate refilling of Provident Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA) and amendment of PFRDA Act/2013 & 2015. It also called for regularization of all the contractual and contingency services and immediate filling-up of all vacant posts in the central & state governments.
