Yingkiong, Oct 19: Continuing the Swachch Bharat Mission-Urban Segregation at Source campaign, the Department of Urban Development and Housing, Upper Siang organized an awareness programme on ‘Segregation at Source’ at Vivekananda  Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Yingkiong today.
Resource person, Er.Gobi Basar, Assistant Engineer (Hq), UD & H, briefed the participants on the importance of maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and segregation of waste at source and informed that main objective of the campaign is to improve the quality of segregated waste collection and processing thereof.  Demonstration was carried out for segregation of biodegradable wet waste in green-colored bin and dry waste in blue-coloured bin (HaraGeelaSookhaneela) and participants were requested   to  carry forward the message and adopt correct waste segregation.
