ITANAGAR, Feb 10: Home Minister Bamang Felix has expressed his appreciation for the Daporijo-based Ningtemuri Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, who today donated an ambulance for the people of Kurung Kumey district, in presence of Taliha MLA Nyato Dukam and others.
Welcoming the initiative of Ningtemuri MPCS Ltd Chairman Hora Bagbi, Felix said that such inspiring gesture will go a long way in further strengthening the bonhomie between different tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
“Today’s event is not about donating an ambulance. It is about the compassion that our tribal societies have for each other. A fresh start towards expressing this compassion has been made today which is very encouraging, and I hope it will inspire all," said Felix.
The Minister informed that the donated ambulance will be dedicated to the people of Kurung Kumey by Taliha MLA Dukam during his proposed visit to Nyapin on February 23. The ambulance will be utilized where it is required the most, he added.
Meanwhile, Ningtemuri MPCS Ltd Chairman Bagbi informed that his society wants to donate an ambulance each to every district over the course of years. While an ambulance has already been dedicated to the Upper Subansiri district in 2018, the society has donated an ambulance to the Shi-Yomi district last year in November and an ambulance for Papum Pare district will be donated shortly, he added.
