ITANAGAR, Mar 15:  The World Consumer Rights Day was observed in various parts of the state today with a call to the consumers to stay aware and updated about the rights ensured under the laws.
The day was celebrated in Tawang at VKV Kyidphel organised by the department  of LM&CA,Tawang district with the theme "tackling plastic pollution". EAC Kyidphe Tsering Choden, NGO-Consumer Rights Protection Forum (CRPF) attended the event in the presence of students, citizens and shopkeepers.
In Lower Subansiri, the day was observed by the department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs at Dutta village. Assistant Controller, LMCA, Ziro H Atung dwelt at length on consumer rights and duties. Inspector, LMCA Rakesh Taksin spoke on weights and measures and package commodities. PRI members, GBs, students, SHGs and villagers attended the programme. DIPRO
