Borduria, May 27: Police today solved the murder of a construction worker within 12 hours and arrested the accused.
Borduria police station on Saturday was alerted  that a labourer identified as  Biju Ghosh, 42, was found lying in a pool of blood with his head almost severed at the labour camp located at Borduria village.
On head count, it was found that two labourers were missing which prompted the police to alert the check-gate and manhunt for the two was launched. At around 0800 hrs, the first missing labour was located and it was learnt that Niranjan, was last seen with the deceased.Search for the suspect was continued and today at around 1400 hrs, the suspect was located and detained.
On detailed interrogation the accused Niranjan Guala,19, a native of  Charaideo,Assam confessed to have committed the murder as the deceased spoke ill of his mother.
The weapon of offence which is a local machete and the clothings of the accused stained with blood have been recovered based on the disclosure statement.
A murder case have been registered at PS Borduria PS C/No 02/2023 u/s 302 IPC and investigation on.
