PASIGHAT, Sep 21:  In a move which could be a setback for an already beleaguered Congress party in the region and state as a whole, a group of PRI leaders led by ASM Chairperson of Bosing Banggo Anchal Block under 38^th Pasighat East joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday at Taki Lalung village near here.

In a formal merger ceremony attended by Pasighat East MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management, Kaling Moyong, PMC Chief Councillor , Kaling Doruk, Dy. Chief Councillor, Kaling Darang and Mandal President Obit Tamuk etc., PRI leaders led by ASM Chairperson Alen Taning, ASM, GPC, GPM and many Congress party workers marched into the BJP.
