Itanagar, May 9: In a powerful display of national unity and solidarity, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today organized a Tiranga Yatra to honour and support the Indian Armed Forces in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
The yatra, part of the Congress party’s broader initiative being held across all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) units, was a demonstration of support for Operation Sindoor — India’s retaliatory strike targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, APCC Vice President Mina Toko praised the bravery and professionalism of the Indian Armed Forces. APCC, described the event as a moment of unity, courage, and respect for those safeguarding the nation.
She further added, the APCC also expressed appreciation for national Congress leaders, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for supporting the Government of India’s strong response to the attack.
Notably, the APCC also commended the central government for demonstrating, a rare moment of bipartisan support in times of national crisis.
