ITANAGAR, Mar 3: Arunachal Youth Congress and the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today demonstrated outside the Marina Gas Depot located at Zero Point, Itanagar in protest against the latest price hike of non-subsidized cooking gas cylinder (LPG).

The protesters headed by President, AYC, Jikke Talo gathered this morning at the gas depot and raised slogans against the BJP Government at the Centre.

While addressing press reporters, Talo said “Modi has cheated and played with the sentiments of the people and failed to deliver the promises he made before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.”

Calling the sudden increase of Rs 86 per cylinder as unprecedented in India's history and citing that it has directly affected all classes of society, Talo slammed the Prime Minister for putting an extra burden on the pockets of the poor and the downtrodden after demonetisation and demanded the government to roll back the price hike at the earliest.
