TEZU, Jun 8: Following the disappointing performance of state run schools of Lohit district in recently announced Class X and XII CBSE board exams, Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf has announced to personally inspect classroom teaching and take classes, if necessary. The DC promised to provide all possible help and cooperation from his side and assured to provide financial support for procurement of textbooks.
During the review meeting on June 7 last, grievances of various government schools were also discussed. Problems like shortage of textbooks, teachers and non availability of PGT for Hindi, Geography and Agriculture subjects, etc were brought to light. The school faculty assured better performance in future.
DDSE Mana Linggi, also expressed her concern over poor performance of the schools. Requesting the teachers to perform their duties sincerely and regularly, she further suggested the Principals to re-start extra classes on roster basis for academic upliftment of the students.
