TENGA, Dec 19: In a noble gesture, All Bugun Society (ABS) contributed immediate relief items to the fire victims of Tenga Market on Monday in presence of ADC Singchung, Mokar Riba. At least 37 structures including shops, godowns and houses were burnt to ashes in the fire incident that occurred on December 14 last.
Expressing grief over the incident, Yangzin Murphew, Chairman ABS said the society is ready to extend all support to the victims. The relief items has been contributed by the society members from different villages from their own expenses so that immediate relief would be provided to the victims in this hour of grief, he said.
Chief Advisor ABS, RC Bodoi further urged denizens to be extra cautious during this dry winter season to avoid any untoward incident. He also appealed to the administration to provide relief assistance to the victim as per norms after proper assessment.
