ITANAGAR, Jan 20: In the wake of the Namsai Declaration,  an effort to resolve the long pending  Arunachal- Assam boundary dispute, the Lora Bello Buka Boundary Committee (LBBBC) today urged the state government to be transparent in resolving the boundary issue.
Speaking to media persons at the press club on Friday, Chairman LBBBC, Nabam Akin Hina informed that recently a joint meeting was held between officials of Papumpare and  North Lakhimpur District as per the regional committee and to prepare geo-spatial maps for the final alignment of the inter-state boundary.
The Circle Officers cum Border Magistrate with their supporting officials of Kimin/ Kakoi Arunachal Pradesh and Circle Officer with supporting official of Nowboicha circle, North Lakhimpur District Assam arrived at Bello-II  on 17th January last. Unaware of the agreements of the regional committee the villagers of Lora-I, II, Bello-I, II and Buka-I-II requested the officers of Assam to disclose the contents of the agreed minutes of the meetings and the proposed final inter-state maps with their copies. However, the officers expressed inability to disclose, even the official of Arunachal Pradesh has no documents about the earlier meeting, asserted Chairman.
He further added, without knowing the contents of the agreements and the proposed map, the villagers and members of the committee apprehend repetition of the "deception" act of 1951 Bordoloi Commission report. LBBB has apprehension that the Assam counterpart has the motive to grab the ancestral lands of Arunachal by producing a looping map for geo tagging, Hina said. 
Meeting or boundary demarcation should not be held sitting inside AC rooms, there must be public views before taking any decision, stated the Chairman while adding that the  LBBBC  is  demanding  the authority to demarcate Rajghar Road between Buka, Bello,Lora as the boundary between Arunachal and Assam in Papumpare District and no looping system in the map.
He also informed that a representation on the matter has been also submitted to the local MLA Tana Hali Tara.
