ITANAGAR, Sep 22:The Joint Core Committee today sought justification from the state government for sudden cancellation of the JEs civil interview of RWD & UD department three days prior to the examination.

In a representation addressed to Chief Secretary, the Committee requested for one time relaxation and exemption of the said recruitment from the purview of cabinet decision taken on February 7 last to do away with departmental recruitment.

It cited that the JEs post was advertised couple of months before the cabinet decision.

The committee also said that many unemployed youth would become over aged or ineligible to sit in the examination if it is conducted through APPSCE, as till date 15 advertisements for various posts are pending before the Commission.
