Khonsa, Nov 11: Commissioner of Finance, Tax & Excise and Narcotics, YW Ringu conducted a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in Tirap District. The meeting evaluated challenges and coordination among departments and banking institutions in delivering financial and welfare schemes to beneficiaries.
Deputy Commissioner Tirap, Techu Aran, welcomed the gathering and urged Heads of Departments to highlight their schemes through presentations. Ringu emphasized accurate data, financial inclusion, and transparency in scheme implementation. She directed banks to provide detailed loan disbursement figures and instructed the Regional Manager to ensure updated records.
The meeting covered departments including Urban Development & Housing, State Bank of India, Health & Family Welfare, and Education. I/c DMO Dr. T. Gao highlighted challenges faced by the Health department due to specialist doctor shortages.
Ringu urged Heads of Departments to perform duties with dedication and integrity, and directed bankers to coordinate with departments for timely loan disbursement and programme implementation. Funds should be utilised purposefully and judiciously for sanctioned purposes and there shouldn't be lapses, she said.
