Itanagar, Mar 30: In line with the nationwide observance of the 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram,” and as per the Action Plan approved by the National Implementation Committee (NIC), the commemoration programme was organised across schools in the Itanagar Capital Complex today.
Under the guidance of Toko Babu, APCS, Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex, and under the supervision of Tem Kaya, DACO Capital, and Tori Gadi, APO, a series of programmes were held to mark the occasion.
The programme was organised at Government Secondary School, G-Sector, Naharlagun, where students participated in the rendition of the
National Song “Vande Mataram” along with activities such as essay writing and extempore speech competitions. Similar commemorative events were also held at PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School, Arunodaya, Itanagar, and Government Secondary School, Pachin, Naharlagun, on the same day.
The commemoration aimed to honour the contribution of the bravehearts of India’s freedom struggle and to promote awareness about the historical and cultural significance of “Vande Mataram.” The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, contributing to the success of the event.
