ITANAGAR, May 2:A team of Bharatiya Janata Party Longding District today met Chief Minister Pema Khandu and submitted a memorandum requesting him to immediately post a permanent circle officer (CO) at one of the oldest headquarters at Pumao under Longding District, which is functioning without a CO since last 35 years.

“Pumao area borders Nagaland and land disputes arise frequently. Due to absence of a CO in the area the administration and other development activities are badly affected. So for further development and to check land dispute proper administration is necessary in such circle,” informed the district unit president, Tanpo Wangnaw to Khandu in a meeting held today.

Sensing the seriousness of the matter, the CM has assured the team to post a CO shortly for the larger interest of development in the area.
