ITANAGAR, Oct 2: Chief Minister Pema Khandu took part in the concluding celebration of the fortnight long “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign organized at MG Park here today marking the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. 
The Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi as mark of respect to the great soul and also took part in a cleanliness drive organized to mark the event.
Later, the Chief Minister flagged off 11 Itanagar Municipal Council trucks that would add to the garbage collection fleet of vehicles. Khandu congratulated the IMC for procuring new vehicles and encouraged the Council to carry out the work of garbage collection diligently. He said the motto of keeping Itanagar clean and green should be followed with full sincerity and dedication. 
The event was organized by the District Administration, Capital Complex along with IMC and Urban Development & Housing Department.
