ITANAGAR, May 18:

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed shock over the news of sudden and untimely demise of Anil Madhav Dave, sitting Union Minister for Environment and Forest and a veteran BJP leader, who breathed his last this morning.

In his condolence message to Secretary Environment, forest and Climate Change Ajay Narayan Jha, Khandu said that Late Dave will be remembered for his zest for planning, promoting, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of environmental and forestry programmes in the country.

‘His passion towards conservation and survey of flora and fauna of Indiaforests and other wilderness areas, prevention and control of pollutionafforestation, and land degradation mitigation will always be a hallmark of his contribution towards a green, healthy and carbon sink nation,’ Khandu said.

At this moment of grief, me, my family, colleagues in the Government and people of Arunachal Pradesh extend our solidarity with the country for losing a great leader and convey our deepest condolences. The vaccum that has been created by Late Anil Madhav Dave’s demise will remain for long. I pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace,” the message further added.
