KARSINGSA, Jun 30:  Arunachal Social Welfare Alliance (ASWA) in collaboration with   Banderdewa Karsingsa Youth Welfare Association(BKYWA) organized a cleanliness drive at Karsingsa Garbage Dumping Zone near National Highway.

ASWA members cleared garbage as a part of the cleanliness drive which was based on the theme ‘Clean Arunachal Save Arunachal’. President ASWA, Vicky Dolo  said that since last few months  garbage was  being  dumped near  National Highway, resulting in overflow of  trash, creating an unpleasant and unhygienic environment. “Our theme, Clean Arunachal Save Arunachal is to create awareness amongst the people that we have to develop the habit of making our environment clean and hygienic,” added Dolo.

“Despite repeated pleas to the authority concerned  to bring a solution  to the Karsingsa dumping zone, no  positive step has been  initiated till date,” lamented President  BKYWA Chello John. He also added that Banderdewa/ Karsingsa being the gateway of the state capital, such unhygienic sight creates bad impression. Newsdesk
