ITANAGAR, Mar 27: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) visited West Bengal, Jammu& Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya to get an insight of the work culture and functioning of their counterparts.
The team was led by Chairperson Gumri Ringu along with member Peace Moyong and others. The team visited the West Bengal SCPCR on March 13 last where Ananya Chakraborti (former Chairperson), Advisor to the Commission highlighted the various initiatives regarding Anti Trafficking, Child Labour, Substance Abuse etc.
On March 20 last, the team visited the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) office of Srinagar where Farooq, Chairperson along with his team informed about the various challenges faced by them in dealing with child related cases and how they have overcome them. Later the team visited the Child Care Institute run by NGO, Save Our Soul. 
On March 23 last, the team visited Assam SCPCR where both the parties had detailed discussion regarding Child Labour and Trafficking Cases. They also visited Sneha Bandhan, an Orphanage Children Home.
The tour ended with the last visit to Meghalaya SCPCR where the Chairperson I.M. Syiem, highlighted the various initiatives like they have their own YouTube channel, digitization of datas, raising funds from all the departments etc. to meet their challenges especially during the pandemic. She spoke about teenage pregnancy, POCSO, Substance Abuse predominately prevailing in society.
