Likabali, Sep 19: A team of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR), led by its Chairperson Gumri Ringu, visited the anganwadi centres (AWC) of Lika and Bali village under the ICDS project here in Lower Siang District on Monday to oversee the Poshan Maah celebration.
During the visit, the Commission inspected all the activities undertaken by the AWC’s and while interacting with the children, the team sensitized them regarding good health practices and impediment of child abuse in the schools. They also interacted with the PRI members, anganwadi workers, members of SHGs and implementing officials and sought their cooperation in making the program a success.
The Chairperson Gumri Ringu while interacting with the children and villagers, cited the importance of knowing the rights of every child below the age of 18 years. She also stated that any kind of child abuse related concern be reported to the nearest police station and inform the same to the concerned officials.
A team also inspected and interacted with the students of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Likabali.
Lower Siang  DD (ICDS) cum DCPO Jikom Doyi, DANO Dr. Sempe Taipodia, DTO Bishal Aran, and other members of the ICDS and others attended the programme.  (DIPRO)
