Ziro, Oct 24: A meeting was convened at District Secretariat Building, Ziro regarding an unfortunate incident at the Children’s Park, Kasa Resort, where a child sustained injuries due to alleged negligence and infrastructure lapses at the park. The meeting was chaired by Ratan Anya, Chairperson, Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR).
Radhe Tatung, the Assistant Commissioner, Ziro welcomed all members and briefed about the incident that occurred on October 2. He informed that as soon as the matter came to the notice of the District Administration, an immediate order was issued to close the park for all tourist activities until further notice. A board comprising of the Administrative Officer, Police, and JE (PWD) was constituted to assess the site and submit findings, which were accordingly presented during the meeting.
Ojing Lego, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) apprised the members of the steps taken by police following the incident. The attending doctor also briefed the Chairperson on the medical condition of the injured child and other technical aspects of the case.
Chairperson Smti. Ratan Anya appreciated the prompt response of all stakeholders and the parents who brought the incident to the Commission’s notice. 
Among others, DD ICDS Takhe Rinyo Bullo, CO Mide Bage and other officials attended the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Ratan Anya, accompanied by her team, called on Oli Perme, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri, at her office. The Chairperson and her team later inspected the Kasa Resort, where the unfortunate incident occurred and interacted with the resort owners as well as the concerned district officers to assess the situation firsthand.
