Namsai, Apr 30: Chief Secretary Manish Gupta convened a review meeting at Namsai today to assess the progress of ongoing developmental works of the district.
Addressing the meeting, he emphasised the need to formulate a comprehensive action plan to tackle drug abuse and curb opium cultivation in the region. He also took note of the challenges faced by the district in project implementation and assured support for overcoming them.
Further underlining the importance for cultural change amongst the people towards environmental and ecological conservation, he emphasised the role of children in bringing about lasting change. He advocated for nurturing young minds to become stewards of nature from an early age.
Reiterating the state’s vision of transforming Arunachal Pradesh into the most progressive state in the country, he urged all stakeholders present at the meeting to work diligently at the grassroots level to achieve this mission.
Earlier in the morning, the CS participated in a morning cycling session through the serene landscapes of Namsai, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Circle Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and District Sports Officer.
