ITANAGAR, May 21: Three days after assailants stormed into the Director, Audit & Pension office with sophisticated weapon, the capital Police is putting in all out effort to nab the culprits and has intensified naka checking at various entry points of Papumpare district.
Today Superintendent of Police, Papumpare Tumme Amo along with DySP Neelam Nega, OC PS Doimukh Padi Payang and IRBN personnel conducted naka checking at Gumto and Kolacamp, Midpu and intercepted a total of 9 arms viz, 7 numbers of .22 rifles, 1 each of 12 bore SBBL gun & .32 revolver.
‘Seven arms were released after verifying license and other documents while the other two .22 rifles have been seized and kept at Doimukh Police station for further verification,’ informed SP T Amo.
