ITANAGAR, Jul 31: Tagong Ketan, the Chief Engineer in the Department of Public Health Engineering & Water Supply (PHE&WS) was accorded a warm farewell on Friday by his colleagues on his retirement from service.
Ketan joined the RWD in 1986 as an Assistant Engineer and had served in the capacities of Chief Engineer (Eastern Zone), Chief Engineer (Sanitation & SBM-G) and Chief Engineer (D&P) of the PHE & WS department for a period of 34 years and 7 months. He was the first Chief Engineer of the department to go on superannuation. 
Recalling the CE’s contributions to the department in particular and the state as a whole, his colleagues observed that it will go a long way in inspiring and motivating the younger engineers.
