PASIGHAT, Mar 28:“Peming A:bang”is a very rare and unique narration of the spiritual journey of the migratory birds from the high seas to the lofty mountains and back. It is an integral part of Minyong community but due to lack of practice and experts (Miris), the age-old traditional art is gradually eroding due to modernization. With a mission to preserve and promote it, the Central Donyi-Polo Yelam Kebang (CDPYK) Pasighat organized a three-day discourse, inviting Miri to perform Peming A:bang here at the central Engo Takar Dere, Pasighat. Besides, Peming A:bang Miri (from Kerang village)Tarung Nyitan, ponung parties of Kerang (I) & (II) presented spectacular traditional dances to enthrall audiences.

 Among prominent personalities, local MLA Kaling Moyong and Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak while attending the discourse lauded the efforts of CDPYK and encouraged the participants.The duo stressed the need to revive and preserve the age-old culture. DIPRO
