TEZU, Apr 20:
Taking the smart district initiative to another level, around 34 CCTV surveillance cameras were installed here today in the market and other sensitive areas under the initiative of the district administration. CCTV cameras were earlier installed near busy and sensitive areas like SP office, General Hospital and Kanchi Chariali as well. Terming it as a move towards self sufficiency, DC Danish Ashraf said that this will instill confidence among the general public and improve safety and security. He hoped that the installation of CCTV cameras would further mitigate the sporadic cases of thefts and anti social activities.
The CCTV surveillance cameras were installed under the district innovation fund of the DC. Ashraf also appreciated Minister Dr. Mohesh Chai for contributing one lakh and fifty thousand rupees from his MLALADS fund for the installation and applauded him for his zealous support. DIPRO
