ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Adi Baane Kebang conducted an awareness tour programme to two districts of Upper Siang and Siang from June 14-17. The main agenda of the tour was to create awareness on implementation of uniform customary law (Adi Kebang Ayon) in Adi areas, upliftment of education, socio culture development and Anti-drugs campaign.
The team also visited the site of construction of Nugong bridge over Siang River in between Pangin and Komsing village. The bridge upon completion will connect all eight villages of Nugong banggo. The foundation stone which was laid by Late Dorjee Khandu the then Chief Minister with 2012 as the projected completion target, is yet to be completed. ABK has requested the local representative and the state government for early completion of the bridge, which is the lifeline for the Nugong Banggo. Newsdesk
