ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a regular case against Minoty Borang Saroh and others in connection with  the APPSC paper leakage scam at CBI Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Guwahati.
Following the registration of the case, a CBI team carried out search in nine different places in the state. Several incriminating documents, including handwritten questions from Arunachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (APTET)-2016 were recovered.
Accused Minoty Borang Saroh who qualified for the post of district food & civil supplies officer (DFCSO) in 2020 was earlier granted bail by the session court, Yupia as she is nursing her infant.  
In a press statement, the head of the CBI-ACB informed that a regular case was registered by CBI, ACB at Guwahati Branch on January 6 last under various sections.
The case was registered against Minoty Borang Saroh and others on the strength of notifications issued Under Section 6 and Section 5 of the DSPE Act, 1988 issued by the state of Arunachal Pradesh and the central government. The special investigation cell (SIC) of the state police later handed over the case to the CBI, who took over the investigation process.
The case is pertaining to the leakage of question papers of both preliminary and mains and the selection of undeserving candidates in APPSCCE- 2017, conducted by the APPSC in the month of July 29 and December 10, 2018, respectively, stated a release from CBI.
