ITANAGAR,  Mar 3: Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC), today said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is "missing" from office putting all cases on hold, after visiting the CBI office at Gohpur along with parents and members of various NGOs today.
Speaking to the media, Chairman PAJSC Techi Puru said that there were no higher officials in the CBI office, Itanagar when the team visited the office to take update about the APPSC Cash for Job scam.
Surprisingly, we have been told that all the officers are at Guwahati; they have to be here to deeply investigate the scam as soon as possible. There is no update of the case after the state government assured to resolve the 13-point demand. Even CBI has no strong disclosure as of now, added Puru.
Terming the death of Under Secretary APPSC, Tumi Gangkak as unfortunate, Puru said CBI must investigate the case.
"It is unfortunate that an officer who was Under Secretary, APPSC had to lose his life due to this scam. Instead of investigating the incident of late Tumi Gangkak who was the prime witness in the case, CBI is on honeymoon in Guwahati," he said.
Earlier, Chairperson Arunachal Nari Shakti,  Nimi Taba who along with other social activists including Sol Dodum, Taw Poul also alleged that CBI  officials were missing from office. 
“During our visit, we tried to find out the updates of the case, but a CBI official categorically informed that all the officials are at Guwahati and updates will be shared only after their return to Itanagar," stated Taba.
