Itanagar, Sep 21: As part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada, the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office Itanagar along with its five Field Offices at Tawang, Bomdila, Aalo, Pasighat and Tezu organized a plantation drive under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
To promote and spread the message of environmental sustainability and honour the spirit of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, saplings were planted in the premises of all the offices. The initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to green growth and ecological balance.
In addition to the plantation drive, CBC Regional Office Itanagar also organized a Special Outreach Programme on Swacchta Hi Seva at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Itanagar campus. The programme highlighted the importance of cleanliness and community participation in building a healthier environment. As part of the event, a good number of saplings were also planted within the FTII campus to encourage students and staff to adopt tree plantation as a regular practice.
The plantation drive and outreach programme drew active participation from officers, staff, and students making it a meaningful step towards spreading awareness about environmental conservation and cleanliness.
