ITANAGAR, Jun 15: With four more succumbing to Covid-19 on Tuesday morning and Monday evening, Arunachal’s Covid casualty count has touched 155. The only silver lining of the day was recoveries surpassing new cases.
A 42-yr old male Covid patient from Lower Siang who was suffering from Hepatitis B expired today at DCH Chimpu. At DCHC Tezu, a 52-yr old male Covid patient with the comorbidity of diabetes died on Monday evening.  A 52-yr old male Covid patient from West Kameng expired today at DCH Chimpu. A 62-yr old male from the ICR who was  detected Covid positive on May 19 last and suffering from comorbidities expired on Monday evening  at DCH Chimpu.  In all the above cases the immediate cause of death was ARDS coupled with Covid pneumonia and except for the West Kameng patient who was administered with the first dose on March 23, vaccination status of the rest was nil.
Of the 290 new Covid cases (asymptomatic 181; symptomatic 109)  recorded on Tuesday,  the first 5 districts were ICR (53), West Kameng (35), Lower Subansiri (34), Changlang ( 26) and Namsai (20).  A total of 326 new recoveries  were  added  to the total with the ICR, Lohit, Changlang, East Kameng and Upper Subansiri recording 57, 43,33, 29 and 24 respectively.  The state on Tuesday evening had 2849 active Covid patients and 28934 recoveries. ICR led the day’s total sample collection count (5380) with 1049.   
Vaccination in the 18-44 age group increased by 1 % to reach 14 with 3631 taking their first doses.  In the 45+ age category, with 1261 beneficiaries taking dose 1, the coverage reached 69% and in terms of dose 2 the coverage percentage remained at 15 with just 44 getting inoculated.
At the CCCs, the occupancy status on Tuesday evening was- 45 at DCH Chimpu, 26 at SQF Lekhi, 3 at DCHC Midpu, 6 at DCH Pasighat and 19 at DCHC.
