Rono Hills, Dec 12: Like in any other part of the world, the spirit of Christmas carol celebrations has gripped churchgoers and others alike in the Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) campus. As part of the month-long celebrations, the members of Christian Revival Church in Doimukh, were hosted at a caroling programme for the carol revelries at the RGU campus with all pomp, gaiety and spirituality. The evening saw the carol revellers singing carols and offering prayers for well being. The celebrations in the evening witnessed choreographies, artistic programmes, praise and worship sessions, biblical discourse, and feasting. 
Attending the celebrations as the main speaker Mikkar Riba, the youth pastor of CRC Doimukh spoke on the essence of true justice, love and humility quoting Micah 6:6-8 from the Bible. Attending the programme as special guests, the Registrar of the University Dr. NT Rikam and Finance Officer of RGU Prof. Otem Padung encouraged the gathering to imbibe the values of Christ in ones lives and called for self introspections and play one’s part to spread the true essence of the love, joy, peace and hope of Christmas to the society. Amongst others, the Pastor of CRC Doimukh Evangelist Lokam Rai, Joint Registrar of RGU Dr. David Pertin, carol organizers Tacha Ningee and Techi Tallik and carol service chairmen Ngurang Abo and Tad Toka also spoke. The celebration was joined among others by many officers, faculty members, church leaders and scores of young and old believers, which culminated over a mass feast.
