Itanagar, Jan 7: Following complaints of high fares charged by  commercial passenger vehicles and also to discuss issues with regard to traffic management and Highway, the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region, Komkar Dulom  today convened a meeting with the SP Capital Jimmy Chiram, ADM Talo Potom, EE(Highway) Nani Tath, District Transport Officer C Wangsu, Station Superintendent T Dulom, and officials from Traffic and TK Engg & Consortium Pvt Ltd.
The DC directed the DTO to take up the issue with the Tempo/ Trekker Association and to direct them to follow the earlier rate that was fixed prior to the coronavirus pandemic or to set a genuine rate after proper verification.
Also anticipating the work of under pass, the DC had a detailed discussion on traffic management plan for smooth flow of traffic. He also reviewed the work on NH-415.
Also present in the meeting were SDO Sangeeta Yirang, EAC Lod Takar and LO to DC Sanjiv Chakraborty.
