Itanagar, Jul 22: In an effort to strengthen and improve the quality of education in government run schools of the state capital, the administration has been carrying out inspection of all government schools. The initiative has been launched as per the order of the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, Talo Potom, issued on June 30 last.
The team comprising Executive Magistrates and Special Executive Magistrates, apart from ensuring teachers and students attendance are also holding interactive session with the school fraternity to discuss any issues that needs attention of the district administration.
Other issues like requirement of classroom, toilets, water, electricity etc., are being noted down by the officers for onward submission to the Deputy Commissioner. The officers also briefed the students about the importance of personal as well as general hygiene and sanitation.
The Deputy Commissioner said that such exercise are being conducted so that a better academic environment could be created for the students to excel and perform better in life. He said such an effort, also provides a chance to the school authorities  to inform directly about any lacunae with regard to educational system to the authorities and to understand the ground reality of the existing system of education in their respective schools be it in terms of infrastructure, shortage of teachers, requirements of books, uniform, mid day meal etc.
