Bomdila, Sep 12: One day capacity building training of Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) was organised today at Bomdila by the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission For Women, Itanagar in collaboration with West Kameng District Administration.  During the training, the participants were sensitised on various topics related to capacity building and training of AHTU, it's role and functions, legal provisions and Acts related to anti human trafficking and psychological effects of stress and emotions on victims of human trafficking etc. Speaking on the occasion, ADC Bomdila, Sang Khandu said traffickers never think of humanity and their sole motive is financial gain. He urged the stakeholders to co-operate with police while urging NGOs and local authorities to create awareness among the villagers against human trafficking.
Chairperson,  Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women, Kenjum Pakam said there is need to sensitise the people about human trafficking, safety of children and women. All the stakeholders should have coordination with police in collecting intelligence on human trafficking, she stressed.
