ITANAGAR, Jun 11:Hundreds of people from all walks of life  turned up for a peaceful candlelight rally organized by Kristi Kendra at  Naharlagun this evening seeking justice  for  two young artists of Assam who were brutally killed by a mob on June 8 last in Dokmoka of Karbi Anglong suspecting them to be child traffickers.

Participating in the rally, Social activist and ZPM of Borum Panchayat, Techi Tolu condemned the killing of the innocent youths and appealed the Assam government to punish the culprits under stringent section of law.

Kristi Kendra President, Budhin Dutta suggested the Assam government to introduce a separate law to curb mob attacks and informed that already a memorandum in this regard has been sent to Chief Minister of Assam including  Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking their immediate intervention.

Floral tributes were also paid to the portraits of Nilutpal Das and Abhijit Nath.
