DIRANG, Jun 4:All Dirang Students' Union supported by Sumo Union Dirang organized a candlelight march today in memory of a local woman who had committed suicide on May 13 last. The deceased known as Pema was a contingency staff at the craft center in Tawang.
The unions also expressed resentment over lackadaisical attitude of the Police for not registering case against a government official despite family members accusing him for abetment to suicide.
All Dirang Students' Union had submitted a memorandum demanding early arrest of the said accused, termination from job on May 28 last to Deputy Commissioner Tawang and SP Tawang.
More than 22 days have passed but Tawang Police is yet to register the case against the said accused, lamented the union in a press statement.
Among others, family members of the deceased, students and public joined the rally.
