ITANAGAR, Feb 8: The deprived candidates of Sub Inspector (Civil/IRBn) 2021 have urged the state government to declare 'null & void' the recently held examination conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
Speaking to the media at the press club today, aspirant Neelam Richo stated that the whole examination process has been compromised by the APPSC. This was exposed after the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) arrested at least six candidates (under training-SI) from Shillong, he said.
"We have submitted FIR to the SIC earlier, but now the whole case has been handed over to the CBI. We urge the state government to declare 'null and void' the whole examination process. Moreover, the authority should segregate the genuine candidates and those who obtained question papers from accused Taket Jerang, the then controller of examination within the stipulated time frame," added the aspirant.
More than 17,000 candidates had appeared in the examination for at least 123 posts of Sub Inspectors ((Civil/IRBn) and people  like Taket Jerang and those aspirants who have obtained question papers have made a mockery of the merit system by playing with the sentiments of the  genuine candidates, said another aspirant, Gekar Riba.
