ITANAGAR, May 15:In yet another landmark achievement Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has created history by physically connecting the strategically important road beyond Limeking, on the Tama Chung Chung (TCC) – Taksing axis on May 9 last. The road now stands connected from Limking to TCC to Taksing which is a distance of approximately 80 kilometers.

BRO team led by Col Tanish Kumar - Commander 23 BRTF, Lt Col Raju Pradhan - OC 128 RCC, Capt Vijendra Singh, Capt Nikhil along with their team drove on this road leading to Taksing. The drive started from Limking and culminated at Taksing, one of the most awaited places to be connected by road.

The work on road TCC – Taksing commenced in the year 2009 and has been continuing ever since with a number of challenges and hindrances which included the difficult and inhospitable terrain, inclement weather conditions, absolutely no kind of access to this stretch of uncut road and with furious

River Subansiri  flowing nearby.

The task at hand could be completed only after using ingenuity and innovative methods to physically dismantle heavy excavating machinery which were transported to the site by chopper and number of them manually. The strategically important road is expected to be black topped in the near future.
