Bhalukpong, Aug 26: First meeting of Regional Committee on Assam-Arunachal boundary issue (Udalguri and Sonitpur districts of Assam) and ( West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh)  was held at Circuit House Bhalukpong today. 

The meeting was Co -chaired by Ashok Singhal, Minister, Housing and Urban Affairs, Irrigation etc., Govt of Assam and Nakap Nalo, Minister Tourism, Land Management, etc., Govt of Arunachal Pradesh and attended by MLAs of concerned constituencies and other members.

The Regional Committee of both states also visited Kamengbari and Bhalukpong to take stock of the ground realities. During the meeting, most of the issues were settled amicably. It was decided that DCs of West Kameng and Sonitpur shall conduct  joint survey of Kamengbari area and submit report to the committee.
