PASIGHAT, Sep 4: The joint meeting of Regional Committees of Dhemaji (Assam) & Arunachal Pradesh (East Siang & Lower Siang) was convened today at the Deputy Commissioner's office, Dhemaji, Assam. The meeting was held in the positive spirit & guiding principles of the historic "Namsai Declaration" with inputs and suggestions from the Chairpersons and MLAs of the respective Regional Committees of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and concluded with a positive note. They agreed on resolving boundary issues amicably. The Regional Committee from East Siang district was represented by Alo Libang, Minister Health & Family Welfare, MLA Ninong Ering, DC Tayi Taggu & SP Sumit Kumar Jha, ADC Ruksin T. Jonnom and ADC Mebo, Aeinstein Koyu.
The Regional Committee team from Lower Siang comprised of Minister Industries, Tumke Bagra, MLAs Kento Rina and Kardo Nyickyor, DC Marto Riba, SP Gothambu Dajangju.The Assam Regional Committee team was led by Minister PHE & Tourism, Govt. of Assam.
Akash Deep, C&S Environment & Forest, Ashim Kumar Bhattacharjee DC Dhemaji, SP Dhemaji Ranjan Bhuyan. Regional Committee members/officials from Dhemaji district (Assam), Lower Siang & East Siang districts (Arunachal Pradesh) also attended the meeting.
