Itanagar, Oct 7 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh, today joined the nationwide Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha and Seva Jyoti Yatra to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedicated public service and commitment to the nation.
The programme was attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Devesh Kumar In-charge BJP Arunachal Pradesh , Kaling Moyong President BJP Arunachal Pradesh, among others.
As part of the programme, a live telecast of the addresses of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Nitin Nabin was organised. The addresses highlighted the vision of building a stronger and more developed India, with a special focus on the role of the youth in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. The programme was also joined by the business community of Itanagar, SHGs, NGOs and the public.
The participants also took the Pledge for Viksit Bharat, committing themselves to contribute their energy, talent and determination towards nation-building.
On the occasion, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Seva Chowk was inaugurated at Ganga market near clock tower, Itanagar. The dignitaries, party leaders and workers also participated in the Seva Jyoti Yatra, highlighting the values of public service, dedication and commitment to nation-building.
The programme was organised across all district headquarters of Arunachal Pradesh, with the participation of elected public representatives, Ministers, MLAs, Zilla Parishad Chairpersons and other party leaders and workers at their respective district headquarters.
The nationwide initiative marks 25 years of Narendra Modi’s public service, beginning on 7 October 2001, when he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, and continuing with his service as the Prime Minister of India since 2014.
After the programme, BJP Arunachal Pradesh President Kaling Moyong addressed the media at the BJP State Office. Moyong said that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only received the trust and acceptance of the people of India but has also earned recognition and respect on the global stage. He highlighted the international recognition received by Prime Minister Modi, including high civilian honours from several countries, and said that his leadership has strengthened India’s position and voice among the nations of the Global South.
