Itanagar, Feb 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party Arunachal Pradesh today organised a specialised Trainers’ Training Programme under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan 2026, a nationwide organisational initiative aimed at strengthening the party structure from the mandal to the national level through systematic capacity building.
The state-level training session was held in Itanagar, at DK Convention centre with participation from state trainers along with district-level delegates, SOBs. The programme focused on organisational skills, ideological orientation, effective communication, and outreach strategies.
Shashank Mani Tripathi, Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh, attended as the resource person nominated by the party’s national office. Home minister Mama Natung, also attended and addressed the gathering, encouraging party workers to enhance public service and grassroots engagement.
The resource person in his technical session stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands not only for contesting elections but also for working tirelessly towards nation-building. He emphasised that party workers should remain prepared at all times and that regular training programmes are essential for strengthening karyakartas. He also strongly appealed for extending such training programmes further down to the booth level.
The welcome address was delivered by Ashok Sangchujo, Vice President-cum-Convenor of the training programmes.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of State President Kaling Moyong, who delivered the presidential address. He remarked that there was once a perception that the lotus would not bloom in the hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh, but under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu the party has expanded significantly. He highlighted recent local body election outcomes and strong legislative representation as reflections of growing public confidence.
He urged newly elected grassroots representatives to work with dedication to ensure last-mile delivery of development benefits. Stressing the importance of continuous training, he noted that regular capacity-building programmes help strengthen organisational efficiency and governance effectiveness. He also encouraged greater and responsible use of social media and Media for public outreach.
Highlighting electoral integrity, he referred to the Special Intensive Review (SIR) conducted by the Election Commission of India, stressing the importance of accurate voter records and public awareness. He appealed for strong support of the SIR to ensure transparent democracy.
He further encouraged party workers to regularly listen to the Prime Minister’s monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, describing it as a constructive platform for national dialogue and public awareness.
Referring broadly to national governance and global diplomacy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he highlighted India’s growing international engagement, including evolving relations with the United States and the European Union. He also noted that recent Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism has geopolitical significance for India. He emphasised the need to counter misinformation and uphold India’s global reputation.
