Pasighat, Sep 24: As part of the ongoing GST Bachat Utsav, BJP Arunachal Pradesh State President Kaling Moyong today held a press conference at Siang Guest House, Pasighat, East Siang District, highlighting the remarkable success and public enthusiasm surrounding the GST reforms initiated by the Narendra Modi-led government.
Earlier in the day, Moyong visited Pasighat Market, where he interacted with shopkeepers, entrepreneurs, and consumers who are participating in the festival of savings. Similar celebrations are taking place across Arunachal Pradesh and the country, with markets witnessing record-breaking sales and a festive atmosphere of economic empowerment.
The programme was joined by Tojir Kadu, MLA cum Co-Convenor GST Bachat Utsav Programme and Meram Komut District President BJP East Siang unit.
Addressing the media, Moyong informed that BJP representatives, ministers, and karyakartas have been visiting markets across the state to interact with traders and consumers by joining nationwide GST Bachat Utsav and witnessing first-hand the overwhelming support and satisfaction with the GST reforms.
“Sales records are being shattered across sectors, proving that the people have warmly welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi Navratri gift to the nation,” he said.
This wave of savings has created a true festival of happiness and purchasing power, directly benefitting the middle class, small traders, and common citizens, Moyong added.
He further emphasized that GST reforms are a collective decision of the GST Council, where all states—including Congress-ruled ones—participate. Arunachal Pradesh is already witnessing steady growth in GST collections, boosting border area development, infrastructure, and welfare programs.
The BJP Arunachal Pradesh reaffirmed that GST Bachat Utsav is not just a festival of savings, but a celebration of New India’s confidence, aspiration, and economic strength under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
