Itanagar, Mar 22: In the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the State foundation Day of Bihar was celebrated in the Raj Bhavan of Arunachal Pradesh on March 22. Large number of people from Bihar in Arunachal Pradesh participated in the programme.
The Governor said that the people of Bihar in Arunachal Pradesh were the partners in the developmental progress of the State. He said that they continue to be one of most contributing communities in the growth and development of the State.
The Governor commended the people of Bihar for their enthusiastic participation in the Bihar Diwas celebration in Raj Bhavan programme. He said that such activities will cement the goodwill amongst the people of Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh.  
Recalling the rich history of Bihar, Parnaik said that in the progress of the nation, the people of Bihar made huge contributions. He said that Biharis are known for their hard work and progressive mind.
The Governor said that the historic State of Bihar stands out for its religious, educational prowess and dynamic rulers from ancient times, which helped shape our national history. Bihar reflects the civilisation heritage of our country, he said.
A cultural programme depicting the rich cultural heritage of Bihar, including traditional dances and Holi geet were presented by the people of Bihar residing in Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion. Master Abhinash Kumar, Class VIII, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chimpu presented a poem on the State of Bihar, ‘Main Bihar Hu’.
The audio visual message of the Governor of Bihar, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was played on the occasion.
The Governor and the First Lady of the State Smt Anagha Parnaik hosted a high tea and interacted with the invitees from all walks of life and participants.
