ITANAGAR, Jul 25: To mark the commencement of the establishment of the State Data Centre (SDC), a 'Bhumi pooja' was performed today. The event was attended by Doni Nich, Chairman IT and Neelam Yapin Tana, Director IT with the team of IT Officers. This marks the beginning of the construction and implementation of the State Data Centre, which is a noteworthy milestone in the State's efforts to modernize and enhance its IT infrastructure.
SDC is a Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) which would provide many functionalities for greater success of IT & eGovernance in the State. Some of the key functionalities are Central Repository of the State, Secure Data Storage, Online Delivery of Services, Citizen Information/Services Portal, State Intranet Portal, Disaster Recovery, Remote Management and Service Integration etc.
