Yupia, Feb 5: Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare, Minga Sherpa handed over sanction order of Rupees Four Lakhs Ten Thousand only sanctioned by the APRB, Itanagar under Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANKY) to beneficiary Bayabang Raju, Chairman Rikum Multipurpose Co-operative Society, Jollang(Itanagar) for cultivation of Dragon fruit at DC’s conference hall, Yupia in the presence of HM Agri Horti Tage Taki, Ld. Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar through video conference during ceremonial disbursement of loans and scheme subsidies under Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana(ANBY) and Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) programme today.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with farmers and Self Help Groups to know their grievances and issues pertaining to agriculture and horticulture schemes, disbursement of loan by banks. Representatives from the SHGs and farmers apprised the DC about lack of marketing facility for their local produce, delay in disbursement of loan and need for proper supervision from Agri and Horti department to beneficiaries.
Taking serious note of delay in sanctioning of loans to beneficiaries, the DC directed the bank managers to expedite the sanction of loans and strictly adhere to Memorandum of Understanding( MOUs) signed by the government so that beneficiaries do not face any undue problems during the process.
Meanwhile, Sherpa also had a brief discussion with all bank managers from SBI and APRB and discussed the issues of poor response by the banks in disbursing of loans of Agri and Horti schemes wherein bank managers also apprised him about reasons behind delay in disbursement loans.
DAO Yupia, Maze Piel also spoke and advised all beneficiaries to utilise the loan provided under ANKY and ANBY in proper manner to become self reliant. DIPRO
