YUPIA, Dec 12: District & Sessions Court Yupia once again rejected the rejected the bail plea of Minoty Borang on Monday, however, granted seven days interim bail to Mopin Sora and Gomo Sora.
Speaking to the media, Advocate Tapi Omo informed that today Minoty Borang one of the accused in the 'vash for job' scam in APPSC has submitted a bail plea on the pretext that she has a five year old child to take care of and other issues, but the Court observed the intensity of the case and rejected the bail plea.
In another bail plea of Gomo Sora, working as Finance and Accounts officer in Yupia, Papum Pare district arrested by SIC in the same scam and his son Mopin Sora, the court has granted seven days interim bail to both the alleged accused.
Both Gomo and Mopin pleaded with the court to grant bail on the condition that, they have to attend the funeral and last rites of the mother of Gomo Sora. Following the Bail Plea, Court granted interim bail on humanitarian ground for only seven days, informed Advocate Omo.
On November 11 last, also the District & Sessions Court rejected the bail plea of Upper Siang DFCSO Minoty Borang. Borang, a 2019 batch state civil service officer, who has been arrested by the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) in connection with the Cash for Job scam in the 2017 Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination.
Gomo Sora, was posted as Finance and Accounts officer in Yupia under Papum Pare district and his son Mopin Sora was posted as a junior engineer in the Public Health Engineering Department in Pangin.
Earlier, hundreds of aggrieved aspirants holding banners and posters staged protests outside the District & Sessions Court against the bail plea of Minoty Borang, Gomo Sora and Mopin Sora.
