ITANAGAR, Jan 3: The Sivasagar district administration in Assam accorded a warm welcome to the Brahmaputra Aamantran Abhiyaan expedition team as they arrived at Saraguri Sapori ghat Sunday afternoon.
The team embarked on the second leg of the expedition from Pasighat to Tezpur, Assam today. The team  started rafting from Siyalmari ghat, Dhemaji  at 1000  hrs and reached at Saraguri Sapori ghat, Sivasagar at 1430hrs. 
 During the rafting expedition, the NDRF rescue cover team conducted CAP(Community awareness programme) at Sivasagar.
Two officers, two deep divers, four boat handlers, four swimmers along with four boats and two rafts are on standby for rescue cover throughout the river route.
