ZIRO, Jun 29: An Ayushman Card Creation Drive along with an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY and Ayushman Vay Vandana Scheme was successfully conducted at Lempia village near here in Lower Subansiri district on Saturday, officials said.
Organised under the nationwide observance of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh (JJGV) as part of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, the programme was spearheaded by the office of the medical superintendent, Gyati Takka General Hospital, Ziro.
The outreach drive, aimed at senior citizens aged 70 years and above, saw active involvement of the Head Gaon Bura (HGB) and Gaon Buri (GB) of Lempia village, who facilitated the distribution of Ayushman Cards to eligible beneficiaries.
Officials said the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, reflecting a strong grassroots response to government health initiatives.
Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) were trained during the drive to identify beneficiaries, assist with e-KYC, and download Ayushman Cards under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), ensuring last-mile delivery of health entitlements.
The district health department reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to healthcare and ensuring that central welfare schemes reach the most vulnerable sections of society.
